ETPS (Neuro-Mechanical Acupunctu Back to Top

ETPS therapy is based on sound medicine, firmly grounded in the concepts of acupuncture, modern neurology, microcurrent stimulation and myofascial release (muscular relaxation) techniques. The therapy is based on four therapeutic concepts: Increasing circulation, stimulating “gateways” in the nervous system to the body, relaxing contracted muscles to relieve pressured nerves, and releasing endorphins, the body’s natural pain killers. Although motor, trigger and acupuncture points have been used in therapy for many years, when they are combined in special patterns they greatly increase the therapeutic outcome of the treatment. The results are so impressive using ETPS that complete or substantial relief from pain may often occur in the first or second treatment.  Applying ETPS stimulation to a unique combination of acupoints will provide immediate pain relief, decrease muscle tonicity and accelerate tissue repair for any form of muscular skeletal disorder, regardless of cause.

The many benefits of this type of therapy include:

  • Pain reduction / elimination
  • Relaxation of body and mind
  • Stress and tension relief
  • Increased blood circulation
  • Increased energy levels
  • Aids with digestion and toxin removal
  • Improved internal organ function
  • Relief from bad habits and addictions
  • Greater sense of overall well-being
  • Prevents / breaks down scar tissue
  • Improves structural alignment

Medical Massage (MM) Back to Top

Medical Massage differs from regular Massage and Bodywork in that the treatment is specifically directed to resolve conditions diagnosed by a medical doctor.  I may use a variety of modalities or techniques during the treatment, but I focus the treatment mainly on the specific areas of the body related to the diagnosis.  This enhances the body’s natural self-healing process and reduces the needed recovery time from injury.

Trigger Point Therapy (TrP) Back to Top

Trigger Point Therapy is a style of bodywork that focuses on stimulating and releasing “trigger points” in your body.  Trigger points are tender areas of tension similar to acupressure points, except they occur in the belly of the muscle tissue rather than along the energy pathways of the body.  These ‘knots’ are built up throughout a person’s life due to physical, mental, and/or emotional stress.  During a session, focused pressure is applied through a variety of techniques in order to release your trigger points.  This process can be quite painful at times, yet the effects are lasting and profoundly transformative.

Ionic Body Detoxification Footsp Back to Top

The ion detoxifying footbath purifies the body through the electrolysis of water. Relax with your feet in water for about 30 minutes. Healthy individuals can expect to feel lighter and experience a greater sense of wellbeing after an ion detoxifying footbath session. Eliminating toxins is the first step to giving the body a chance to heal itself, therefore, detoxification is fundamental to any health building program and detoxifying through the feet is ideal because they contain more than 60 Acupuncture and Reflexology points which reflect the organs and other areas of the body. Today our toxic exposure is at an all time high and toxins are one of the primary causes of degenerative diseases in people today like Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Kidney Problems, Autism and Muscular Dystrophy. Toxins come from pesticides in our food, chlorine and fluorine in our water, the air we breathe, our cleaning supplies, soaps, shampoos and detergents, our mercury fillings, household adhesives, paints, plastics used in the microwave, tobacco, drugs and more all contribute and lead to disease, allergies and mental incapacitation with side effects like swelling, rashes, insomnia, headaches, fatigue and pain.

Deep Tissue Massage (DT) Back to Top

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don’t get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

Sports Massage Back to Top

Sports Massage is a type of massage designed for highly active people who engage in athletics.  Engaging in sports is harsh on the body and can often lead to injuries in both the short and long term.  Sports Massage enhances performance and prolongs a sports career by helping to prevent injury, reduce pains and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and dramatically improve recovery rates.  Sports Massage is also highly effective in aiding the rapid recovery of an athlete from an injury by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness and in turn promoting the body’s natural immune function.

Pregnancy Massage Back to Top

Pregnancy Massage is a form of bodywork designed specifically for pregnant women.  Pregnancy is a time in which a woman’s body endures tremendous stress due to dramatic physical, mental, and emotional changes.  Using various techniques specifically for the new mother, Pregnancy Massage helps alleviate discomforts experienced throughout the pregnancy.  The benefits are profound, including emotional support, the reduction of joint pain due to extra weight and postural imbalance, improved breathing and relaxation, and relief from uncomfortable digestive issues.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) Back to Top

Lymphatic Drainage Therapy aims to gently and rhythmically move the lymph through the body, especially swollen areas of the body, relieving pressure and enhancing the functioning of the immune system.  As both a preventative and remedial technique, MLD can be used for a wide range of purposes including faster recovery from injury, reduction of swelling and discomfort from pregnancy, and strengthened resistance to illness.

Active Isolation Stretching Back to Top

AIS involves holding each stretch for only 2 seconds and is known to work with the body's natural physiological makeup to improve circulation and increase the elasticity of muscle joints and fascia. Previously experts believed that stretches should be held for up to 60 seconds. Performing an Active Isolated Stretch of no longer than 2.0 seconds allows the target muscles to optimally lengthen without triggering the protective stretch reflex and subsequent reciprocal antagonistic muscle contraction as the isolated muscle achieves a state of relaxation.
